National Sanskrit Seminar on Significance of Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita in the Present Age.

Organised (both online and offline) by PG Department of Sanskrit, Panchayat College, Bargarh in collaboration with Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi.

Invited as विशिष्ट-वक्ता in the Valedictory Function of the National Sanskrit Seminar on 14 September 2025, Dr. Harekrishna Meher, through Google Meet App online, delivered speech on Socio-cultural Values, Nishkama-Karma Yoga, Essence of Jnana-Karma-Bhakti and Significance of Gita for a holistic healthy and peaceful life in the present society of atomic age, therein contextually reciting several verses from Gita, Gita-Mahatmya, Upanishads,  AdiShankaracharya's Poems  (भगवद्-गीता किञ्चिदधीता, गङ्गाजल-लव-कणिका पीता...etc.) and related works.

Concluded speech with reciting some portions of his Sanskrit Song 'Gita-Gitika' included in 'Matrigitikanjalih' Kavya.

Principal Prof. Dr. Nakul Seth presided over the meeting. 

Esteemed Chief Speaker Prof. Dr. Banamali Biswal elaborately delivered his talk on Gita's various aspects including environmental significance.

 A Literary Program on  "Shakti-Svarupa ShriRadha and UtkalaVyasa Jagannath Das" was organised by Baikunthanath Smruti Sansad, Japakud, Salepur, Cuttack, Odisha on the sacred occasion of ShriRadhashtami and Atibadi Jagannath Das Jayanti on 31 August 2025 Sunday at 7.30 pm through Google Meet App. Online.

Invited as Chief Speaker, Dr. Harekrishna Meher delivered speech on ShriRadhaTattva,  Birth Story of ShriRadha, the Spiritual Consort and  Supreme Power Hladini Shakti of Lord Srikrishna, Embodiment of Divine Love and Devotion to Shrikrishna,  therein contextually reciting several verses from SriChaitanyaCharitamrita, Bhagavata-Purana of Vyasadeva,  Srimad-BhagavadGita, ShriRadhopanishad,  SriRadhika-SahasraNama, GitaGovinda Kavya etc. Continued speech on spiritual importance, cultural significance, social values of divinity of SriRadha-Krishna depicted in several scriptures.  During discussion also referred to GargaSamhita, Brahmavaivartta-Purana regarding divine love of  SriRadha and Srikrishna.

Dr. Meher further recited some verses related to ShriRadha from Odia kavyas such as Kotibrahmanda-sundari of KaviSamrat Upendra Bhanja, Bidagdha-Chintamani of Poet Abhimanyu Samantasimhara, Gopalakrishna Padyavali, Banamali Padyavali and related works. Also offered devotional tribute to the great poet Atibadi Jagannath Das with recitation of some verses from Odia Bhagavata Purana.

 Honorable Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Raghunath Panda, Retired Sanskrit Prof. of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar,  presented his elaborate  discussions on various  aspects of Atibadi Jagannath Das, the writer of Odia Bhagavata Purana, who is known as Utkala-Vyasa. Several matters such as Birth of Poet Jagannath Das on the day of ShriRadhashtami, his immortal work Transcreation of Vyasadeva's Sanskrit Bhagavata Mahapurana into Odia Navakshari Padya, Impact of Odia Bhagavata on the people, Social and spiritual values of the writings of the poet and related things were discussed.
