On the Occasion of World Sanskrit Day Celebration,
a Literary Discussion on the topic
'आधुनिक-संस्कृतसाहित्यस्योपादेयता'
was organised by
GLOBAL SANSKRIT FORUM
on 28 August 2026, Friday at 7.15 pm via Zoom App Online.

As Invited Speaker, Dr. Harekrishna Meher delivered speech on Modern Sanskrit Literature with its significance and social values in the present age.

Modern or Contemporary Sanskrit Literature has various aspects with its separate divisions. Along with traditional Kavya divisions such as Mahakavya, Khandakavya, Gitikavya etc. various New forms of Kavya-vidha have been added in Modern Sanskrit Literature.
In this long discussion, all the divisions of Padya and Gadya were presented with contextual examples.
