‘Nihnutam Sundaratvam’ (Sanskrit Poem)

निह्नुतं सुन्दरत्वम् (संस्कृत-कविता)
रचयिता : डॉ. हरेकृष्ण-मेहेरः
= = = = = = = = = = = =  

यत्र सामान्य-जनाः 
असुन्दरत्वं पश्यन्ति,
तत्र निह्नुतं वर्त्तते 
निश्चितं किञ्चित् सुन्दरत्वम् ।
तत् तु कैश्चित् द्रष्टुं शक्यते,
अन्यैः कैश्चित् तु नैव ।
स्वयं सौन्दर्यधारी
तद् द्रष्टुं पारयति,
जातुचित् नैव पारयति वा ॥

प्रत्येकस्मिन् वस्तुनि
कुत्रचित् निह्नुतं विद्यते
अनिर्वचनीयं किञ्चित् सुन्दरत्वम् ।
आवश्यकं तस्य यथार्थमनावरणम्
आवश्यकं च तस्य यथार्थं प्रकाशनम् ॥

प्रत्येकस्मिन् पदार्थे
प्राणिनि पुरुषे वा,
प्रत्येकस्यां रमण्यां वा
कुत्रचिदपि मुहूर्त्ते
निहितमस्ति रमणीयत्वम् ॥

मानवतायां सौन्दर्यं चिरन्तनम्,
व्यक्ति-रुचौ व्यक्ति-दृष्ट्यामेव
विराजते किमपि सुन्दरत्वम्,
सहृदय-हृदयस्पर्शित्वम्,
दिव्यमानन्दप्रदं नित्यं तत्त्वं तदेव ॥

Hidden Beauty
= = = = = = = = = =  
Where common people
do see no beauty,
there exists certainly
some beauty in concealed form.
That beauty can be perceived
by some persons,
also cannot be perceived
by some others.
A person who bears the beauty
own self can observe the beauty,
but sometimes is unable to observe it.    

In everything, somewhere
exists some beauty
that cannot be described in words.  
Necessary is its proper unveiling. 
Its proper manifestation also is necessary.

In every object,
In every creature,
In every man,
In every woman,
at certain moment,  
beauty exists in hidden form.

In humanistic virtue,  
beauty exists for ever.
In the liking of a person
and in the vision of a person,
some beauty exists shining.
That is the eternal phenomenon
which is verily divine, 
which bestows bliss and touches
the hearts of the connoisseurs.
